/login & /logout
Sign in to or out of your Anthropic account from a Claude session.
/login and /logout manage the Anthropic credentials Claude Code uses on your VM. Features that need authentication only work after a successful login.
/login
Type /login with no arguments. Claude walks you through signing in to your Anthropic account. You need this for model access and other authenticated features.
Credentials persist on the environment, so you typically log in once per VM rather than every Console tab.
/logout
Type /logout to sign out and clear authentication credentials. Anything that requires login stops working until you run /login again.
Use /logout when you are handing a session to someone else, or when you want to switch Anthropic accounts on the same environment.
