Asynchronous Job Processing for Magento
Asynchronous Job Processing for Magento
AMQP message broker handling Magento's bulk operations, async API calls, and import/export queues, with an authenticated management UI.
Message Broker for Async Magento Operations
RabbitMQ runs as a dedicated AMQP message broker inside each Magento environment. Instead of executing long-running operations synchronously during HTTP requests, Magento publishes messages to RabbitMQ queues. Consumer workers pick up these messages in the background, handling tasks like bulk catalog updates, async API calls, and import/export operations without blocking the storefront.
Built-In Management UI
The RabbitMQ management UI is included and served behind authentication. From there you can inspect queue depth, message rates, consumer status, and connection health. When a queue backs up or a consumer stalls, you see it in real time — no need to SSH into the container or parse log files.
Minimal Footprint
The RabbitMQ container runs on an Alpine-based slim image, keeping memory and disk usage low. It handles Magento's native AMQP topology out of the box — exchange declarations, queue bindings, and consumer configuration all work with Magento's default queue configuration in env.php.
Parallel Consumer Workers
Magento's consumer workers run as separate processes that pull messages from RabbitMQ queues. Multiple consumers can process different queue types in parallel — one worker handling bulk attribute updates while another processes exports. This parallelism keeps queue latency low and prevents a slow operation from blocking unrelated tasks. Read the RabbitMQ docs for queue topology and consumer tuning.
